Hi all:
This morning, Roy Gerig and I watched a white-tailed kite flying and kiting in
the distance. We were standing in the Pintail Marsh parking lot at Ankeny NWR.
Continuing around the refuge, I pulled out at where the railroad tracks cross
Buena Vista Rd. The kite was perched on a tree along the tracks. This is
probably a most likely place to find the kite at the refuge.
