No new specialty birds but a few more "regulars" found today and enjoyed
several flocks of Gray-crowned Rosy Finches esp along School Flat at the
yellow house with sheds, the Harmon Century Farm on Golf Course and the
steep slope area of Golf Course closer to Enterprise. Seven or 8 flocks
of Gray Partridge today. Pileated along river in Lostine in large
Cottonwood trees. We didn't try for a 3rd day for the Gyr. The Porcupine
was again in a tiny ponderosa tree along Golf Course Rd. One, only one,
Am. Tree Sparrow along Golf Course Rd today. Bohemian Waxwings continue
in Joseph and along Jim Town Rd near Parsnip Creek. One smallish to
medium flock of Horned Larks today at top of School Flat but nothing
else identified with them. No Redpolls or Snow Buntings this trip and we
spent many hours searching spruce for White -winged Crossbills and
teasel and birch tree catkins for Redpolls but none found during our
trip. Lovely views and a few favorite birds made it a good trip. Home
