Hi Obolers:

I use to dislike being out in the cold and winter weather.  However, winter
birding has changed my attitude and outlook.  It seems like all the birds look
so beautiful on snow.   I am having a blast with my new camera and always
learning new things about birds and bird photography.

The photography part has forced me to slow down and learn more about the birds
habits and behavior.  I think I have become a better birder because of it!

It's so cool to see Sharp tailed Grouse feeding on water birch trees and a
Northern Pygmy Owl using a cattail as a perch to hunt from!

Here are some updates ones from this weekend.

Hope you will enjoy them!  Happy New Year and hope you set high goals in your
birding pursuits
