Besides looking/listening for Sandhill Cranes (no luck there), I've been
watching for the elusive Harris's Sparrow. He is feeding in a "less seeable"
spot back by our pumphouse this winter and all my attempts to spot him and
then take a quick photograph through the back French Door have basically
failed. We put down some new bark dust yesterday and the bird showed up quite
well this morning. This is the only clear photograph I have managed all winter
! We wish he was more "regular" so we could invite birders over like last
year...
