I re-found the Snowy Plovers on the beach of Nehalem Bay State Park this
morning around 10 am. They were *very* loosely scattered west of
Campground C south to the Horse Camp camping ground area. It started
raining so badly that this is where I quit looking. There may have even
more south of this area towards the Day Use entrance. I probably counted
about 10 plus 6 Sanderlings. My best pictures have unbanded plovers. Some
have bands that are hard to get data on due to the rainy weather and
subsequent not-so-good pictures. I'll post the best pics with my eBird
report.
As usual, dogs are running off-leash in the debris area and scattering the
flocks.
Good birding, Beverly
