Interesting that fishing is prevalent in our backstories. My father was both a
striped bass and stream trout fiend. As a kid I spent time with him at Half
Moon Bay sad he fished for rock cod or up in the foothills of the Sierras along
the Tuolumne River for trout.
I learned some birds being outdoors with him.
The same intensity he had with fishing and golf is apparently genetic —only it
was birds for me.
