I cannot comment on Thayers off shore, but in the mid Willamette Valley numbers
seem to fluctuate each winter. Last winter they out numbered Herring, but this
winter not so. It mite be a fun research project to determine inland numbers
and time frames when present. With this rain the gulls may return to the wet
fields hunting for worms. Yum.
