All,While it might have been off-topic, I appreciate that Joel posted what
happened as I very rarely watch local news. I agree also that supporting those
who have been through such an event in Harney County is a humane thing to do.
Politics is one thing--human kindness another.
On a different note, there is a new wetland area in Vancouver near Clark
College CTC. The big levee around the quarry just north of our building was
taken down, and there are cottonwoods and willows and a seasonal wetland that
has popped up near the last two settling type ponds. Good variety of ducks thus
far as well as varying numbers of geese (lots yesterday until some drone flying
took place). There is a new grassy area just north of the CTC parking lot that
overlooks the wetland. You can park in the Clark lot, but do not park in
Faculty Staff parking (F/S). The lot is NOT open on Sunday, after 4 on Friday
and before 9 and after 5 Saturday.RK
