I saw the Rock Wren at 1:05 on the base of a large fir on the south side of the
construction fence.
It fed downslope into an area of dead blackberry cane and fallen limbs. A Dusky
Flycatcher was just inside
the forest edge there as well.To new Obol subscribers, this is the third April
a Rock Wren has appeared on
top of Mt Tabor in SE Portland. I believe there were no detections last spring.
Driving out via Salmon Street entrance I heard Pacific Wren in the
canyon and Bewick's Wren by the
tennis courts. House Wren seemed too much of a stretch so I went back to work.
