Even though there are some negative things going on, I hope this makes
everyone feel a little better about the world in general.
Over the holidays, I found an anonymous card in our mailbox. I opened it
with some trepidation, since the last time I found something like that
in our mailbox, it wasn't very pleasant.
But this one was a very kind note, apparently from a fellow birder. I
have no idea who it could have been, but from the Portland postmark and
the reference to birding on the card, I'm guessing it was probably
someone on OBOL.
So thank you very much, whoever you are! It was very much appreciated,
especially after my wife's mom died this past weekend. We very much
appreciated the chance to go to Burgerville, a place that we're always
happy to patronize.
Happy birding to you in 2016 too, and thank you again!
