While doing a Raptor Run along the Lincoln County coast today, Chuck
Philo and I found three swans in Siletz Bay. They were distant,
across the bay from the Siletz keys area, but based on the pattern of
black between the bill and the eyes I think they were Tundras - could
be wrong since they were way over there and I could not see any yellow
on the bill, but the backlight and distance would make that extremely
difficult. Anyway, they were swans, which are not all that common in
the county. The Common Scoter was still present at the pullout near
the Siletz Rocks, and Red Phalaropes were still present at various
locations.
