Several migrant Swainson's Thrushes were heard over my house this morning as well, at 5:40 a.m. I'm on Chehalem Mountain, 4 miles north of Newberg, Yamhill County, at 1,000' elevation. This is the first I've heard them this year, but I'm not usually outside at that hour. And I'm not nearly as good at Wink at keeping records, so can't compare today's date against previous years' first detections.
