If anyone has seen a Swainson's Hawk after 3:30 p.m. today (May 1) in the Stoller's Rd. field near Lafayette, I'd like to know. All I could find this afternoon (about 3 p.m.) was one Swainson's taking off and circling up, up, up with another buteo (unidentified) circling even higher up, up, up and both disappeared into the stratosphere. Quite a few Red-tails were still in those mowed fields after the Swainson's left.
