Re. Susan's white-patched (Leucistic) Junco.
Susan, if they're like Hummingbirds in this regard, and I suspect they would
be, they have a tremendous memory sense, including dates they are at various
forage sites. If you were to have noted the date of its prior appearance,
you might find it's within a couple days or less of last year's date.
Besides full or partial albinism, color abnormalities can be caused by
injuries and poor nutrition, among I suspect other causes; but since you
noticed patches in the very same numerous places, I'd suspect the same bird.

Masear of Los Angeles Hummingbird Rescue is wonderful. Terry has taken in
