If you want good views of Trumpeter Swans, Summer Lake Wildlife Area Manager,
Marty St. Louis and I counted 72 Trumpeter Swans on the West side of Highway 31
on Jack’s Lake, just south of the Summer Lake Lodge and Restaurant; including 5
families with cygnets. There is a nice pull off next to this wetland, towards
the middle. They are now passing through and most will be gone by early
December.
