Someone requested more info on my eBird report- this was 10/17 around 9 am on a
FWS walk st Steigerwald led by Ron Escano. Clay-colored was in the shrubs by
the stream right before the first bridge. First time I had seen this bird - I
noted small size, unmarked breast, dark stripes on head. Was ID'd by Ron and
other experienced birders in our group. Was making chip calls which matched
calls from birding app. We did not see it on the return trip. It was staying
low on the shrubs somewhat secretive except for chip calls.
