While not specific to the 553 model, we have been using its big brother, the
Kowa 883 for several years and love it. Outstanding optics (my personal opinion
is that in a blind test, one would be hard put to differentiate between it and
the way more expensive Swarovski and Zeiss scopes), excellent service (they’ve
sent us, more than once and for free, replacement caps and covers).
