had a calling sora at the south end of Rest Lake this morning it had responded
to a Virginia Rail calling across the road in South Big Lake. Also shorebirds
continued esp in Rest Lake at the south end of the main unit. They are very
hard to see due to vegetation. I had 40 long-billed dowitchers, 11 dunlin and
2 greater yellowlegs in Rest Lake. In Canvasback Unit I had 6 long-billed
dowitcher and 2 greater yellowlegs. South Big Lake there were 17 greater
yellowlegs, 18 dunlin and 5 long-billed dowitchers.
one big absence no lesser yellowlegs hopefully this was just an oversight.
