Hi,
On 12/4, Evan Hayduk saw and photographed a juvenile Snow Goose. It was
near Northeast Bayview Oxbow near South Beaver Creek Road and about 1/2
mile north of North Bayview Road (eBird report, photos, and map at
https://ebird.org/checklist/S61981438). North Bayview Road is along the
north shore of Alsea Bay.
Evan also reported it to Chuck Philo. Chuck relocated it on 12/4, and it
was hanging around with Aleutian, Cackling, and Canada Geese, when a flock
of 10 Gr. White-fronted Geese flew in and joined them. They were near a
herd of elk!
Today (12/5), Chuck Philo returned and also saw the Snow Goose there.
Evan's is the first Snow Goose reported to eBird since July in Lincoln Co. (
