We have had a pair of Slate-colored Juncos in our back yard all winter. On a
daily basis we have 20-30 typical Oregon-type Dark-eyed Juncos, and when we
take the time to watch the flock carefully we will invariably see the two
individual Slates! And this is not something that we have noticed just this
year. I would say the pair (a pair) has been regular every year for the
last five years minimum. I can't say for sure if they are the same
individuals, but they are a nice addition nevertheless.
