OBOLinks:
The winter flock of Bushtits (~40) is now down to 2-8. Yesterday there were 3,
1 of which was singing its nice little silvery trill, while the other two
called.
First time I heard this to be sure (saw bill open, nothing else in area to
confuse issue) was last spring while I watched a pair nest-building in a
hawthorne at the corner of our yard. On 3/6/15 the male was breaking off little
Snowberry twigs (bouncing, tugging, fun to watch), and singing during rest
breaks.
I know this sort of post won't build anyone's life list or incite a chase, but
sometimes I just have to share ;-]
Happy Spring,
Sally Nelson
