Remaining water at Torvend Road pond west of Silverton had 8 Greater Yellowlegs
on the mud in mid-afternoon. Also, 8 GB Herons were feasting on whatever was
left in the shallow water. Last night, only 5 Vaux's Swifts went down the Mt
Angel Abbey PO chimney. I figured the chimney was too hot for roosting and the
numbers seemed to prove the speculation.
