Folks,

 

We visited the Sheridan sewage ponds this morning, 9:30-10:45.  We seem to
have skipped the fall migration of shorebirds and gone directly to wintering
waterfowl season.  However, it still felt like summer (warm).

 

    4  GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE

250  Canada Geese

150  Mallards

750  Shovelers

   1  Pintail

    2 Green-winged Teal

    1  REDHEAD (immature)

    2  Ring-necked Ducks

    4  Ruddy Ducks

    1  Hooded Merganser female

    1 EARED GREBE

20  Coots

10  Killdeer

   1  Spotted Sandpiper

   1  Western Sandpiper

   2  Least Sandpipers

   6  Red-necked Phalarope

500 Violet-green Swallows

   6  Cliff Swallows

   6  Barn Swallows

   1  Starling

   1  White-crowned Sparrow

  20  Red-winged Blackbirds

  20  Brewers Blackbirds

    2  House Sparrows
