checked this out today and the owl was indeed hard at work atop the nest. be
careful as best viewing is alongside the busy road!

Wednesday we found an occupied GREAT-HORNED OWL nest near the Coon Point
parking lot on Sauvie Island. Walk north along the road to the third power
pole. After a break in the trees there is a clump of tall trees on the west
side just past that pole. The high nest will be visible until the leaves come
out. The owl was sitting high enough to see much of it's back and all of the
head twisted in our direction. Best view from the opposite side of the road.
