We were tied at 177 birds for our second highest count of the season as
were sharpies and coops at 37 each on this four falcon day. Numbers were
very low in the windless morning until 1-3 mph winds began in the 1:00
hour. Raptors initially passed far to the east then passed at all sides
and elevations in the PM extending the count till 6:00. We recorded 12
species migrating south and enjoyed the good company of 25
participants/visitors.
