I am anxious to see Sandhill Cranes (preferably a flock). I've heard Klamath county is the closest place for me to look but that's a lot of territory for someone who's never been there (other than Klamath Marsh once last summer). Does anybody have tips on exactly where is the greatest potential for a find if I get over there in the next couple of weeks?

Thanks,

They're hanging on, or one of them. I saw two in the Courtney Creek sector of
Brownsville CBC three years ago, arriving from the far NE. Someone later saw
three eastbound from Irish Bend (Benton Co, east of Finley) that month. Someone
else reported three roosting near Lebanon about then. Something like 75 once
landed at Courtney Creek and spent the night during spring migration. That was
about 1973. They used to spend the night at Camas Swale as well.  Lars
