The Troutdale Sagebrush Sparrow was very much in the open this afternoon.
I saw it first at the corner of NW Swigert Way and NW Graham. This spot is E of
the large property adjacent to FedEx.
The Sagebrush Sparrow is quite people tolerant (closer than 15ft), but it moves
around almost constantly. It prefers to run more than fly. It was seen on the
sidewalk, the ~3ft high chainlink fencing, the black plastic sheeting, and on
the field side of the fencing and sheeting.
While I was there at least 7 other birders showed up and got to see the
Sagebrush Sparrow.
