Fascinating discussion and, Paul, the tool you found appears to be a great
way to summarize eBird data. I'd be interested in reading a similar summary
of field notes in Oregon Birds, but would also like to see some commentary
included.  Perhaps they could be split, with the full list available on the
website and a shorter summary in OB?  Another format I've appreciated is
the format that Tom Mickel is using now for the Lane Audubon field notes.
Easy to scan the list but it also includes a brief commentary.

For those who would like to dive deeper into eBird, I did two presentations
for Lane Audubon that were recorded.  Before watching them I recommend that
you do the eBird Essentials course to be familiar with the basics of eBird.
To find it, login to eBird, then to Explore, then scroll to the bottom to
eBird Essentials.

The two presentations are here. They won't teach you how to do a summary,
but do have lots of other tricks!

Might be slightly out of date, there's been some new features added since
these presentations were done.  Feel free to reach out directly if you have
questions.
