I found a couple RED-EYED VIREOS in the cottonwood forest on Grand Island,
Yamhill County, about noon today.  I hiked in on the fisherman's trail from
the white gate (here 45.112248,-123.032994), perhaps 150 yds, to a mossy log
the lies half-way across the trial.

I hiked most of the trail last Friday, June 19, around noon and didn't find
the vireos.  I heard many Swainson's thrushes and one Pacific Wren.

Today I continued on to where Stringtown Rd crosses Palmer Cr (45.196543
,-123.084466) and found a singing WILLOW FLYCATCHER.  I found one there May
29 this year, and I've found it there in previous years.  It likes the power
line that extends south from the road.

Good birding, everyone,

Paul Sullivan

McMinnville
