Ed McVicker, Paul Sullivan, and I had two Sabine's and two Bonaparte's
Gulls, in addition to the adult Parasitic Jaeger, this morning at J2 and
opposite J4.

Sauvie Island has been hopping with local rarities over the last few days.
An adult light morph Parasitic Jaeger and a juvenile Sabine's Gull have
been frequenting Sturgeon Lake, visible at times from the Oak Island Boat
Launch and across the lake at the J2 access area. Both birds
continued through this evening. The Jaeger has also put in a few
appearances in the area of the Wash to the north in Columbia County. Two
Marbled Godwits were also visible from the Oak Island Boat Launch this
evening.
Tom Myers found and photographed a juvenile American Golden-plover in with
about 35 Black-bellied Plovers on the 20th while kayaking the Wash area.
Almost certainly the same bird was present in the same area the next day,
when I also found a basic-plumaged Stilt Sandpiper in with the Plovers,
along with 2 Sanderlings. Cackling Geese are back in good numbers, small
flocks of Greater white-fronted Geese are all over and the first few Snow
Geese returned today. Hope I didn't miss anything.
