Hi all, we've been seeing the Jaeger reports, figured we'd go out to Sauvie
Island and see what we could find today. Found GPS coordinates to "The Wash"
hotspot on eBird, set it up and off we went. Did NOT find "The Wash." Ended
up inland via Rentenaar Road. No geese on the ground today but we did see lots
of California Scrub-Jays, some Great Egrets, lots of Cedar WaxWings.
So, if anyone has step-by-step instructions on how to get to "The Wash" (say,
from the Sauvie Island bridge), we'd be most appreciative, thanks. Open duck-
and goose-hunting season starts Oct. 1, and we'd like to get out there again
before the hunters arrive. Thanks.
