I was in Seoul summer of 2016. I used that App. It was very helpful. Also
had Brazil's book. We ended up not getting the birding time I had hoped, We
walked trails at Namsan park which is north of the river in the center of
Seoul. Aside from it being crowded, it was nice and very birdy. All the birds
were the expected but we enjoyed adding a few lifers and seeing the variety.
There is a botanical garden at the southern end that we never got to. The park
is on public transportation route.

Subject: [obol] RFI: Korea
Hello,
I will be in the Seoul and Incheon/Incheon island areas of South Korea for the
last few days of September and the first few days of October. I will be
traveling with non-birders and so would like to ensure that the handful of
places I go to are well worth it. Information is lacking on eBird so I would
appreciate any info you can provide me with, specifically on the following
items:
1) Best places to bird as well as specific species to look for at each site
and/or where specifically to look within each location. Areas in and relatively
close to Seoul and Incheon island that are easily accessible through public
transportation are preferred.
2) Does anyone (not) recommend the app $9.99 "Birds of Korea Pro?" Reviews
indicate that it doesn't work perfectly but I'd rather not have to lug a field
guide around. Is this app comprehensive? If not, any field guide
recommendations? (I have Brazil's Birds of East Asia already.)
3) Any online sources you can recommend.
Thanks for your help,
