At least half a dozen black vented shearwaters are visible from obs platform on
beach road a mile s of Umpqua jetties. Also present at least one pinkfoot and
maybe two dozen sooty.
Birds are not close in and a lot are sitting on the water, probably because no
wind. Birds that get up are heading south or milling about.
