Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

Malheur Refuge was active during the week with a PLUMBEOUS VIREO at Page
Springs, a TENNESSEE WARBLER at Headquarters, a REDSTART at Headquarters,
Benson Pond, and at the P Ranch. Two BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRDS were reported
on Steens Mountain.
A number of BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS were reported during the week including
five on Sauvie Island at the south end of Oak Island September 5, and two at
Fern Ridge Reservoir along with a STILT SANDPIPER.
Up to about 1000 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES were seen September 3 at the mouth of
Yaquina Bay. An EASTERN KINGBIRD was seen August 29 at Port Orford. On
August 31 two ELEGANT TERNS were near the Siuslaw River mouth. On September
5 a bright breeding plumaged SABINE¹S GULL was at Yaquina Bay.
On September 20 a BREWER¹S SPARROW was along Road 100 north of Corvallis. A
group of 11 GREAT-TAILED GRACKLES, including 3 juveniles, were seen August
30 in Ontario.
