This report was made Thursday June 5. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at 503-233-3976. On May 30 a male ORCHARD ORIOLE was at Cabin Lake. A bright male INDIGO BUNTING is now being seen east of Vancouver at Steigewald NWR. On June 1 a HUDSONIAN GODWIT was with three WHIMBRELS at a wetland in Marion Co. south of Turner. In southeast Oregon during the week was a BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER, LEAST FLYCATCHER, PLUMBEOUS VIREO, and VEERY at Hq Malheur NWR, a CANADA WARBLER at Benson Pond, a GLOSSY IBIS at Diamond, a BROAD-WINGED HAWK at Lily Lake os Steens Mt., and a SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER near the Alvord Hot Springs. On June 2 a SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER was at Tenmile Creek in Coos Co. A PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER was on the beach at the Oregon Dunes Overlook June 3. A WHITE-HEADED WOODPECKER was reported June 2 near Toledo. A RED-EYED VIREO was at the Wapato Access on Sauvie Island June 1. Two SANDHILL CRANES continue at Jackson Bottom in Hillsboro. On May 31 eight loudly calling WHIMBRELS were flying over Blount Swale near Canby. On May 31 three FORSTER¹S TERNS were at Fern Ridge Reservoir. Seven FRANKLIN¹S GULLS were there June 2. A flock of 28 WHITE-FACED IBIS was there June 4. On June 3 a flock of 20 IBIS were over Creswell. On June 2 a NIGHTHAWK was near Sisters. That day two SCRUB-JAYS were in John Day. Up to nine MUTE SWANS were seen during the week at Hatfield Lake near Bend. On May 30 two SANDERLINGS were at Summer Lake WMA. That¹s it for this week. - end transcript
