This report was made Thursday June 12. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at 503-233-3976. On June 9 a BROAD-WINGED HAWK was seen along the Pacific Crest Trail near Sisters. An OVENBIRD was reported June 5 near Willamina. On June 4 a male BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD was reported at a feeder in Oak Grove. NIGHTHAWKS were reported during the week at Seaside June 2, June 6 at Garden Home, June 9 in southeast Portland, one near Willamina June 10, and one at Minto-Brown park in Salem June 11. On June 7 a HEERMANN¹S GULL was along New River south of Bandon. Three MARBLED GODWITS were at Bandon that day. Two WESTERN SANDPIPERS and 12 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS were there June 8. On June 9 a RED KNOT, a DUNLIN, and two BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS were on Clatsop Beach near Gearhart. On June 8 three FRANKLIN¹S GULLS and four HEERMANN¹S GULLS were off Yaquina Head. On June 8 a REDSTART was on Cascade Head. A BLACK TERN continues at Ridgefield NWR. On June 4 a SEMIPALMATED PLOVER was at the Fernhill Wetlands. A flock of 16 WHITE PELICANS were circling over West Linn June 5. Five WHIMBRELS and a LONG-BILLED CURLEW were seen during the week on wetlands near Turner south of Salem. On June 7 an EASTERN KINGBIRD was in Corvallis. Another was in Eugene June 11. A ROCK WREN was seen June 11 at Hills Creek Dam near Oakridge. A GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE and two FORSTER¹S TERNS were at Fords Pond in Roseburg June 5. A SNOWY PLOVER is now being seen at Hatfield Lake near Bend. NORTHERN WATERTHRUSHES continue at their nesting areas along the Little Deschutes River near Gilchrist. That¹s it for this week. - end transcript
