Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday March 29. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

The Cape Meares HOODED ORIOLE and the Ankeny NWR TUFTED DUCK were both seen
during the week.
The Newport wintering MOCKINGBIRD continues. A bright FRANKLIN'S GULL was
seen during the week at Yaquina Bay. Up to eight MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS and one
WESTERN BLUEBIRD were seen during the week at Powell Butte Park in Gresham.
On March 28 a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE was at the Sandy River Delta. Another
LOGGERHEAD was seen during the week at the Good Shepard Church near Boring.
A PURPLE MARTIN was seen March 27 near Turner. A ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW was at
Ankeny NWR March 25. On March 23 three VAUX'S SWIFTS were seen in Corvallis.
On March 28 a CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD visited a Corvallis feeder. A COMMON
YELLOWTHROAT was near Junction City March 27. A BANK SWALLOW was among a
swallow flock over Eugene March 25.
