Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday December 12. If you anything to add call Harry Nehls at

The two Eastern Bluebirds continue to be seen at the Dhama Rain Zen Center
in Northeast Portland. The Tundra Bean Goose is still being seen at McFadden
Marsh at Finley NWR. The Clatsop Beach McKay¹s Bunting and the Ona Beach
State Park Magnolia Warbler also continue.
A Snow Bunting was seen December 8 on the north shore of Yaquina Bay in
Newport. On December 8 an offshore boat trip out of Newport found many
migrants including a Short-tailed Albatross, 3-5 Lasysan Albatross and a
couple of parakeet Auklets.
A Barn Swallow was seen December 6 at Willow Bar on Sauvie Island. That day
a Northern Rough-winged Swallow and a Violet-green Swallow were at the River
Island Natural Island along Hwy 224 near Eagle Creek.
On December 8 a flycatcher was photographed at the Fernhill Wetlands in
Forest Grove. It was identified as a Western type flycatcher. On December 7
a Snow Bunting was found along County Road 211 northwest of Halsey. That day
19 White-tailed Kites were noted along Northbank Road in the Coquille River
Valley.
