I have been watching a ?Young? Prairie Falcon that hunts here at the house.
( I make that guess because she is quite tame and shows no fear of me, she
moves too fast for a definite ID ) She seems to be living off Quail and
other small birds that use the creek Sage brush flat below the house. The
part that is the most interesting to me is that she seems to be using a
young Coyote that hunts the same flat, to flush birds for her. I know that
Gos's use other critters for flushers, but this is the first time I have
noticed it with a Prairie.
