Nice to hear that a Prairie Falcon is back in that location! There's been one
in frequenting that area (De Armond / Robison) in most recent winters, often
using those same utility poles on both sides of the county line as roosts,
though sometimes about a mile further east on Robison near Wiles Rd.. I hadn't
seen it there yet this fall (though an adult Peregrine has been hunting the
Wiles Rd. area).
Generally there seem to be fewer raptors in that neighborhood than usual this
year, as many of the grass fields have been plowed up and replanted; I've only
seen one Rough-legged Hawk so far where often there are several wintering in
the area.
Also in the Camp Adair neighborhood, on Thursday three Trumpeter Swans turned
up in at Suver Junction, using the same field on the NW corner of Airlie-Auver
Rd x Hwy 99W. There had been up to 6 Trumpeters on the pond along De Armond Rd.
in early November, but they've somehow managed to stay out of sight for the
past couple of weeks.

This afternoon there was a prairie falcon perched along DeArmond Rd in Polk

Just fyi because its kind of confusing, Robison Rd meets Hwy 99 north of
Corvallis and heads west. It meets Rifle Range Rd after a few miles and
continues a brief ways where it becomes DeArmond Rd at the Benton and Polk
County border.
