I made my second attempt to find the Palm Warbler on Fazio Way in North
Portland and was able to locate it after about 30 minutes of searching. The
warbler flock ranges quite widely around the pumpkin field, and the birds can
be quite difficult to find as they feed on and near the ground among the
pumpkins and weeds. Patience is required for finding this bird.
On my way home, I went to Macleay Park to look for the dipper that has been
reported there recently. I briefly saw it fly upstream just upstream from the
first footbridge past the Thurman Street bridge. I continued up the trail for
about another half mile but was unable to relocate it.
