This afternoon I had the continuing Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (Eastern ssp.) in
NE Portland. I believe that Casey Cunningham first found it around December
1st, and it was seen by others through the 14th. Today I first searched
near Johnson Lake before finding it along the nearby slough. It was just
barely in the Portland CBC circle before heading eastward further down the
slough, so a nice first CBC record clinched for count week if it doesn't
show up on Saturday. I don't believe that the bluebirds have been found yet
for count week - I looked for an hour this afternoon to no avail.

Recordings and exact location (Columbia Slough east of NE 92nd Ave, near
the Portland Airport) in eBird:

https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S51277628

This is the 3rd ever January eBird record of BGGN in the Pacific Northwest.
At least one of the prior records was confirmed as the eastern caerulea
subspecies.

Best,
Adrian
