Brandon Wagner and I drove around the northern part of Polk County, mainly
looking for gulls assuming some would be hunting for worms in fields. We
did find two flocks of pink legged gulls, not real large flocks. About a
mile west of Perrydale was a flock of some 40 pipits, which included 1
Lapland Longspur. It was a lifer for Brandon, so that made his day. One
thing that did not make my day was realizing my key was in the ignition of
my locked car when he dropped me off..............
