I saw a flock of 26 siskins today near Nehalem (Tohl Rd dike trail). That's
a big number compared to the last several weeks. I'm hoping for redpolls
now. 😉

Besides House Finches all other finches have been pretty much absent. No
crossbills at all, even at locations where they are usually plentiful like
Cape Arago. Both American and Lesser Goldfinches often disappear by this
time of year anyhow. Guess we'll see if the finch irruption on the east
side makes it over to the west side? I think it would be a good year to
check out those siskin flocks closely though!
