I photographed this hawk today and thought it was a white morph northern harrier male but it didn't seem to have the owl like face. The closest hawk I could find in the book was a krider's red-tailed hawk found at the northern great plains. I read an ABA article online from 2010 and it stated there had been no sightings of the krider's west of the rockies. Thanks, Jim Leonard.
