Swallows were conspicuously absent at 5 or so last night (wed3-13). Turkey
Vultures were difficult to miss yesterday everywhere south of Salem, so it
was odd having no swallows. A pair of Cinnamon Teal in the nw pond, a
single male in the ne pond. No rare sparrows or blackbirds on the south
dike, but plenty of usual. On Mar 4 l saw 6 Western Bluebirds on the
eastern dike. That's the 1st time for me at the Philomath water treatment.
