Today my boys Daniel and Stephen and I counted 83 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS
and 40 GREAT EGRETS at Plat I reservoir east of Sutherlin. The pelicans
have been showing up here in November the last few years, but I think this
is the largest number I've counted yet. The reservoir is at "low pool"
right now with water surface area probably less than 30 acres!
