I found the palm warbler Friday while looking for the Say’s Phoebe with Ken
Chamberlain. Didn’t think it was special other than it being in breeding
plumage now. The two red-throated loons were into breeding plumage too.
I posted the pictures later Friday night after getting home and processing them
in my computer. The Facebook site, Oregon Birding Association Photos was set up
for birders to post pictures since OBOL does not permit it. I don’t do Flicker
or other types of posting where pictures can be sent. There are several now.
Ken showed me a WiFi card for the SDHC card slot in his Canon EOS 7D Mark II
camera and use the CF card for photo recording. The WiFi can be paired to a
smart phone, iPad, laptop “locally” so photos can be uploaded in real time.
Technology is hard to keep up.
Ken reported the palm warbler on eBird. I don’t know if birders post all palm
warblers found to OBOL since it’s a regular occurrence in winter.
