I was present for the 3-nighthawk show Friday, Sept 24, at the bridge below the
dam north of Page Springs c.g. At first the birds were VERY distant. As they
got closer we could see 3 in the same binocular view. They were high in the
sunlight while we were in the shadow of the ridge west of us. My impression
was that one bird was not like the other two. Two birds showed warm
brown-amber underwings, with perhaps rounded wingtips. The other bird showed a
more black-and-white underwing and a very sharply pointed wingtip. Eventually
they flew right over us, quite high, and disappeared upriver. As they passed I
could only see one bird in a binocular view, not a comparative view of 2
birds.I'll be looking Sat night.Paul Sullivan Sent from my Galaxy
