The Birding and Blues Festival returns to Pacific City the weekend of April
29-May 1 and we hope to see some of you at the event. We'll have regional
birding experts leading field trips to popular natural areas including
Neskowin Marsh, Clay Meyers and Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge. New
field trips include: seabird watching, a visit to the Pixieland restoration
area, a wrackline walk, and an evening owl prowl.
Avian researcher John Marzluff is the 2016 keynote speaker. Professor
Marzluff will present his most recent book *Welcome to Suburbia* which
describes how suburban neighborhoods host a splendid array of biological
diversity and suggests ways in which we can steward these resources to
benefit birds and ourselves.
The fun continues into the night with blues concerts on both Friday and
Saturday evenings at the Kiawanda Community Center. Learn more and
